*Which yarn I use with which crochet hook?

  -For beginners, when you buy the yarn ball, in the label it indicates which hook size is     recommended.

*How many chains to do for a queen/king size bed?

 -Depending on your bed size, chain as many as required and then measure it on your bed to obtain the length required.

*Can I use double crochet instead?

 -Yes, you can

*How do you change the color?

 - Make a slip knot, insert your hook at the end of the last row with you slip knot at the back of your loop, slip stitch and then chain 1.

*How long did it take me to finish my blanket?

 -With 1 hour every day, it took 2 to 3 weeks.

*Do you go on top of the stitch or in between them?

 -In between the stitch, under the V (2loops).

*How many chains did you make for the blanket in your video?

- 165 chains

Single crochet circle, written pattern

Chain 2
in the second chain from the hook, make 6 single crochet ( 6sc). slip stich at the end of the row.
Row 1 : chain 1, sc in the same chain 1, 2sc in each previous sc ( from previous row) till end of the row, slip stitch.
Row 2: chain 1, sc in the same previous sc of chain 1, (1sc in the next stitch, 2sc in the next stitch, 1 sc in the next stitch) repeat, you should end up doing 2sc stitch at the end of the row, slip stitch.
Row 3: chain 1, sc in the same stitch, (1sc in the next 2 stitches, 2sc in the next stitch, 1sc in the next 2 stitches) repeat till end of the row, slip stitch.
Row 4: chain 1, sc in the same stitch, ( 1sc in the next 3 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch, 1sc in the next 3 stitches) repeat till end, slip stitch.
Row 5: chain 1, sc in the same stitch, (1sc in the next 4 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch, 1 sc in the next 4 stitches) repeat till end, slip stitch.

Keep increasing the sc stitches in every row till you obtain the width you like of the circle.

How to fight moments of demotivation

Lately I found my self fighting demotivation and depression, I was put on hold in my work place and I didnt know what to do.
It is first schoking when you find yourself on hold when you kow you didnt do anything wrong, but also more shocking when you know that the reason you were stopped from your work wasn't as bad as you thaught.
But the most important of all was,
the first thing which came to my mind , how was I gonna pay my rent and my loan, how was I going to survive if they let me go.

I have worked in the same campany for so many years and never pictured my self in another one, I was happy, I was promoted when it was time for it and I can say I was successful.



But all of this led me to the reason I wrote this post, which is how to fight procractination and demotivation. you might be thinking what this has to do with that.

If you were ever in the same situation, the normal thing you will do is wait and wait and wait for results.

But this is wrong! waiting is killing and is not the solution to any problem.

I find my self most of the time waking up in the morning, not having any schedule or anything important to do, just waiting for the day to pass or if I have money I'll go out and spend it on shopping or food.


I started searching for reasons for this behavior online and I thought Am I moody? why do I do somethings only when I'm in good mood, if so that is so wrong because life will stop if I am not motivated and nothing from my goals or dreams will become real.


I found that the best thing to do and most helpful is :
1- plan, even if you feel that the world has come to an end, you need to plan, for your next hour, next day, next week, month or  year, whether you believe it or not , planning keeps you motivated, when you have a reason why you wake up every morning, that keeps you motivated and happy, I'm not saying that all what you plan will happen immediately, but the feeling will change you instantly .
2- Write down your plan in order of priority and ease of achievement : my daily planning as times can be as simple as when I will shower, dry my hair, read a book, watch a movie .
When you plan the smallest things and stick to them, you will be more motivated to achieve more tasks.
3-look at your plans often so you remind yourself what you need to do next and what 's great waiting for you.
I had things in my life which were just dreams and in some moments were impossible to achieve in that current situation , but now they are reality, how? Plannining and persisting, believing g that you can do it and most importantly finding all possible ways to help you achieve your goals.



Think for a second of  our world, where we live today, all of it is the result of others dreams, people just like us.

So if they were able to make their dreams reality, so why not US??

Let's believe and let's work hard for our dreams to come true :)

How I spend Ramadan in Doha, Qatar

today was the first day of Ramadan, and for me is the scariest day, if it passes quietly and peacefully than the rest of the month will be amazing, if not than it will be difficult.

Why? because I don't prepare for it like many other people, to be able to fast Ramadan without suffering, you need  to have a habit to fast one or two days weekly in normal days ( you practice fasting in order to make it a habit) but a conscious habit!

Also it is difficult because some people are addicted to either smoking, coffee or tea.

For me, if I don't drink coffee in the morning than my day is hell ( I get a strong headache and it feels like a big stone lying on my eyes).

So the secret to succeed  fasting in Ramadan apart from practicing throughout the year, is to do SOHOUR.

Sohour is, drink you favorite drink ( for me is coffee) and eat  whatever you need to keep you kind of full, this has to happen before the first call to prayer, early in the morning.

So today, I was amazed and happy because I was able to fast the first day without feeling weak or having a headache and it was a successful day!!

So for all the Muslims, RAMADAN KAREEM and for everyone happy days ahead!!!

How to be happy




-Happiness is a life pursuit for everyone and everybody attributes it to something specific,
 for some is money, for others is family, success or achievements.
But can you really relate happiness to a specific situation or material things?

I'm just like anyone, have been looking for happiness since I discovered there is sadness in life, I started asking my self many questions  like anybody does,

                               why do I feel sad at times?
                               why happiness is a hard thing to get?
                               How can I be happy for ever!

Most of the time when I am self conscious, I realized that I always relate my happiness to events ( money, promotion, family celebration, personal achievement) but when there is nothing of all this happening, I'm sad, bored, nothing special!
is it right not to be happy if there is no reason for it? is the sadness taking over or must be what we feel otherwise?
That is the circle we turn around all the time without finding the way out.

I am sure that you have read the same like me when you were searching for HOW TO BE HAPPY .
However we always get different answers and there is no easy way for it, but what I have discovered during my research that happiness is

                                                          simply a state of minds 

 you decide to be happy or not to be happy, if you relate you happiness to people, that you will be struggling, because those people are also looking for the same thing and may be they relate their happiness to you unconsciously.

CHOOSE to be happy, because that's your drive in life, don't bother on the negative events around you if you have any.
We need to always remember that everything passes and nothing lasts for ever, if you are sad now, depressed, in a bad situation, remember that there is always, always light at the end of the tunnel, there is always a way out
